Galapagos
To grasp the importance of the Galapagos Islands, we simply need to remember that this is where Charles Darwin came up with the theory of evolution. The archipelago is populated by numerous native species – both flora and fauna – unrivalled around the world.
In addition to the marvellous giant tortoises, the intact nature of these volcanic territories is home to iguanas, sea lions, herons, no less than twelve species of chaffinches, falcons, penguins, and much more. The islands are clearly a must for nature lovers.
